“Establishing a local New Testament Church”
Simmons Family
December 2025

If you have read our letters over the last few months, you may have figured out that I have been trying to convey our goals for ministry in Senegal:

1. Glorify Christ
2. Make Disciples
3. Establish a local New Testament church and eventually turn it over to a native pastor.

We believe this is the work the Lord has called us to do and it is the Biblical pattern for missions. We are aware that we’re going to a country that Satan has been in control of for thousands of years now and he is not going give the keys over easily but, God’s Word will not return void as stated in Isaiah 55:11.

December was a much slower month for us regarding ministry. Originally, there were two meetings that we had scheduled meetings but unfortunately, one was cancelled due to double-booking. We were able to attend the After Thanksgiving meeting at Pilgrims Way Baptist and the Winter Jubilee at Brooklyn Baptist the following week. We also had the opportunity to visit local churches and were able to schedule a meeting in the near future. While in the area, we celebrated the birth of Christ and visited with family and friends for Christmas. At the end of the month, I was invited to preach a Watch Night service for Tabernacle Baptist in Drake’s Branch, VA.
