God’s People are the Best People
Simmons Family
October 2024

God’s people are the best people is a statement that we have heard many times as we have travelled but even better we have the great pleasure in experiencing it firsthand. Ephesians 4:11-12 tells us that we have been given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers “…for the perfecting of the saints…” Naturally, we want to thank our pastor, Craig Price, who has supported,
encouraged, and counselled us along the way. I couldn’t tell you how many times we have heard “I don’t know him” but that is intentional and what makes him so
special to us. Also, we have had the opportunity to meet many singing groups, fellow missionaries, evangelists, pastors, and church members who just didn’t take a prayer card and move on but have become our friends and prayer partners as well.

The month of October had us moving back and forth across the country before heading back to our home state, NC. The first few days of the month we had the privilege to return to a camp  eeting in the Dyersburg area in Tennessee. We rejoiced in seeing some of our friends, the Rileys and the Watsons as well as many other preachers and pastors. We then travelled to Louisiana to present to Old Paths Baptist in New Llano and to attend a mission conference in Florien. While in the area we were able to reconnect with a pregnancy care center in the area where, Hannah, was able to get an ultrasound and a good report. We also got to visit Friendship Baptist where our friend, Jay Taylor, was preaching a revival meeting.

The following week we travelled to Alabama to attend a camp meeting at Sonrise Baptist Church before we able to take Ezekiel home to family. Hannah and I were able to take a trip to Myrtle Beach and got some much needed rest. We were able to attend churches in the area as well as present/preach at Beacon Baptist.
