“…My feet had well nigh slipped”

July 2025

In Psalm 73, Asaph tell us of his temptation to take his focus off God and godly things. We don’t know if he ever thought of harming himself or if he went through a time of depression but, we would probably all agree that the world is a dangerous place to try to live a Christian life. Up to this point, there is only select few people who know if went through a time such as this a little over two year ago. I had recently taken our family survey trip and Satan had fed me the lie that once I got back that I would be able to have a full schedule of meetings (never have) and I would be able to get to the field quickly. Obviously, this didn’t happen and lead me to consider suicide but, I’m so grateful the Lord protected me and has blessed us in so many ways. I don’t write this for empathy or attention but want to remind all that “it is of his mercies we are not consumed “ and it important that we don’t focus on the wrong things.
The month of July allowed us to briefly return home before we went to stay at New Hope Baptist in SC. We updated Anchor Baptist in Columbia. While in the area, we visited local churches and was given opportunities to introduce the ministry. We were also to apply for Yeliah’s passport.
Prayer Requests:
1. Yeliah’s passport to arrive
2. Support (had a family and individual take us on)
3. Tickets to be purchased soon
4. Mission trip to Mexico
