The Final Push Simmons Family March 2025 In January, we entered our fourth year of full-time deputation and we are excited that in June it will be 3.5 half years when I go to the field. Honestly there have been times I wanted to quit or even go back to work but, the Lord has supplied our every need and gave us a few wants as well. I’m reminded of a line in a song that says “He’ll make a way somehow” and I’ve found out, it us usually not the way you think or plan. Up until now, the Lord has not given me the liberty to share “the numbers” that are involved but, I believe I can now. As of right now we stand at approximately 51% of our needed support and for our total initial cost we still need $5,000-$10,00 to become fully stabilized in Africa. Even without full support or initial cost taken care of, we are in position to find housing and take care of our language learning expenses. The remaining “numbers” are based-on ministry needs in the near future. It is our personal conviction that this a life-long calling and these are the people God has called us. Finances will get us there but, prayer will keep us there!
The month of March was probably our busiest so far, I started out in Greenville, SC where I was able to preach/present at two different churches on the 1st Sunday. We then got the news that Hannah could no longer travel due to high risk pregnancy so I returned home to get her to her parents home. I would travel to down to Truth IBC in Alabama (took us on) for a missions conference and in the middle of the week I flew down to Corpus Christi, Texas where I was able to present and preach. While in the area I was able to stay in the Roloff Homes and had the honor to preach at the church Mr. Roloff had founded. I then flew back to AL to present at another church in the area. Following these meetings I travelled back to pick up my wife and went NC to present at Midway Baptist in Jamestown. We were able travel as a family on a shorter trip to the “Armor of God” conference where we underwent a field preparation course and were able to get much needed rest. We finished up the month with multiple doctor visits and spending time with family.
